Alaska Health Policy Review Says in Press Release: Archives Open Important Interviews, Legislation Tracking, and More

Anchorage, AK-Today, the Alaska Health Policy Review opened its archives to the public. The first fourteen published issues of Alaska Health Policy Review are now available online at the Alaska Health Policy Review Archives page, in full and free of charge. Alaska Health Policy Review (AHPR) is the comprehensive, authoritative, nonpartisan source for health policy matters in the State of Alaska.

AHPR is unlike any other publication in the state or the nation. The newly released issues include interviews with Senators Hollis French and Bettye Davis, Jerry Jenkins (Executive Director of Anchorage Community Mental Health Services), and others. Each issue offers feature articles such as a thorough analysis of Denali KidCare–the State Child Health Insurance Program (SCHIP)-and an in-depth summary of Senate Bill 160: Mandatory Universal Health Care.

AHPR also tracks the life of bills, committee meetings, and the Certificate of Need Program during the state legislative session. Policy-based commentaries examine topics such as the unmentioned health insurance-workers’ compensation.

Alaska Health Policy Review is produced and published by Alaska Center for Public Policy, a nonprofit organization committed to the development of public policy that benefits low- and medium-income families. AHPR is published monthly, except during the 90-day legislative session when it is published weekly in order to focus on bill tracking and analysis.
