The purpose of the American Indian Education Fund (AIEF) is to support American Indian students in achieving their dreams through completion of post-secondary education. AIEF continues to serve as a growing, nationally recognized leader that supports American Indian students enrolled in post-secondary schools. We seek out students of all ages who are focused on their educational goals, and who demonstrate the ability to make positive change in their communities and in modern society. We expand opportunities for students to attend and remain in tribal or non-tribal colleges by providing vigorous educational leadership and networking services, and by instilling development of institutional leadership and capacity making for students and schools.

We are currently accepting applications for 2016-2017 AIEF Scholarships. The scholarship is worth up to $2,000.00 and is offered to those students who are enrolled Tribal members or to descendants of federally recognized American Indian tribes as well as Alaskan and Hawaiian Natives. The applicant must be enrolled as a fulltime student at an accredited 2 or 4 year college/university or technical /vocational school in order to receive the scholarship. In addition to tribal enrollment and student status, students must meet additional criteria which can be found on the enclosed scholarship application. Students may also download the application on our website at www.aiefprogram.org.

The deadline to submit the application is April 4th. We do encourage students to get their application in by March 1st as they do receive an extra scholarship point and that one point could be the point they need to get the award!

Any questions related to the AIEF Scholarship can be referred to Candi Acker at our toll-free number 1-866-866-8642 or via email at cacker@nativepartnership.org. We also ask you to please post the enclosed poster and share this opportunity within your educational facility. We look forward to receiving your scholarships.

Thank you for your support.
