King Cove has advanced to the semi-finals in the ASAA 1A Boys State Tournament. They will go against Klawock at 7:00 PM, Tuesday March 19. The boys have played outstanding basketball and have gathered considerable buzz around their performance. If King Cove wins tomorrow they will go to the Championship round against either Lumen Cristi or Noorvik. King Cove has already played against Lumen Cristi this year and walked away with a victory during that match up.
In related news New Stuyahok had a tough loss to the the boys at Noorvik. New Stu will go on to fight for fourth place and will play their next game against the squad from Scammon Bay on March 19 at 9:45 AM. King Cove and New Stuyahok were two very well matched teams during regionals play two weeks ago making the Lumen Christi/Noorvik game a very interesting match up.
Don’t forget to tune in tomorrow, March 19 for live coverage of the King Cove/Klawock game at 7:00 PM!
