U.S. Sen. Mark Begich today announced the award of a $40 million loan to the Southcentral Foundation for the construction of a new primary care clinic in the Mat-Su Borough. The project is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

Press Release Says, AK Lt. Governor Concludes There Were Irregularities at Ballot Count

Anchorage, Alaska. August 31, 2010 -- The Joe Miller for U.S. Senate campaign applauded the decision by Alaska Lt. Gov. Craig Campbell to post assistant attorneys general at the ballot counting rooms following the revelation that a Murkowski observer wrongfully accessed a Division of Elections computer on August 27, 2010 for 10 minutes before being ordered off by an election official. Yesterday, Campbell concluded that there were indeed irregularities by a Murkowski observer at the Wasilla ballot observation room. The Murkowski observer was "engaged in behavior we do not want observers engaged in," said Campbell. Joe Miller responded, "I want to thank the Lt. Gov. for deciding to post assistant attorneys general at the ballot counting room and looking into our complaint promptly and taking action." Miller also noted that an eyewitness statement regarding the computer security breach has been obtained.

August 27, 2010 -- A tweet went out today from Joe Miller's Twitter account, the intent of which was to encourage the Libertarians to stay true their party's values and not to allow Senator Murkowski to run under their banner. It linked to an article in the Daily Caller saying the two were in discussions.

Sand Point School Early Out Day Notice

Dear Parents,

It has become necessary to change the Early Out Day of the week at Sand Point School.  The Early Out day is being changed from Wednesdays to Fridays. Therefore, students will not be releases early this Wednesday, September 1st.  Instead, they will be released early on Friday, September 3rd.  Please plan for students in grades K – 6th to be release at 2 PM and students in grades 7th - 12th to be released at 2:41 PM on Fridays.   If you have any question please call the school at 383-2393.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

Anchorage, AK- Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) today called on Joe Miller to cease making accusations that an attorney from the National Republican Senatorial Committee and observers are attempting to skew the results of Alaska’s Primary Election.
