Governor Palin Press Release Reports, Another Ethics Complaint Dismissed

July 24, 2009, Anchorage, Alaska The Personnel Board has announced that another ethics complaint against Governor Sarah Palin has been dismissed.

The complaint, the sixth filed by Anchorage resident Andree McLeod, accused the governor of violating the Ethics Act by receiving her salary while campaigning for vice president.  The accusation, lodged Monday, was dismissed as legally flawed and factually devoid of merit.

Governor Palin remained on duty, conducted state business, and communicated with her staff and her constituents.

Governor Palin Commends Senate Action on ATG Benefits

Press Release Says, New Alaska Minimum Wage Effective July 24

JUNEAU, Alaska—Mirroring an increase in the federal minimum wage to $7.25 an hour, Alaska’s minimum wage will increase 10 cents, from $7.15 an hour. On Jan. 1, the state’s minimum will go to 50 cents above the federal minimum wage, or $7.75 per hour.
