The Qagan Tayagungin Tribe is currently seeking applications for the following:
Position: Administrative Assistant
Status: Full-time
Compensation: DOE
Supervisor: Executive Director
Job Description: The Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director performs various office duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Responsibilities:
-Acts as general administrative support for the Tribal Council, president and Executive Director, and Tribal office staff performing general office duties.
-Assists and respond to inquiries requiring knowledge if tribal government and responsibilities.
-Attends council meetings, assists with preparation of council meetings, keeps and prepares minutes, prepares and posts pertinent notices, assists with tribal elections, serves as the enrollment clerk.
-Organizes and maintains files and records.
-Other duties include but are not limited to: faxing, copying, answering telephone, taking messages, ordering supplies and materials.
-Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-High school graduate or equivalent
-Excellent people skills
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to work idependently
-Excellent knowledge of computers and other office machines
-Have a valid Alaska driver’s license
