Press Release Says, Palin Media Blitz
Posted: November 16th, 2009 | Author: KSDP Public Affairs | Filed under: 2009, 2009Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin launches a massive publicity blitz today, and the national media is gobbling it up. She’ll appear on a pre-taped episode of the Oprah Winfrey Show, and her book “Going Rogue: An American Life” hits bookstands tomorrow and has already been atop national best seller lists for weeks from pre-sales.
Palin starts her book tour Wednesday in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and is steering clear of the typical major metropolitan areas such tours typically hit. Instead she’s going to places like Fort Wayne, Indiana, Columbus, Ohio, Roanoke, Virginia, and Fort Bragg, North Carolina. She and her publicist have only announced book tour locations up to Thanksgiving, and Alaska is so far not on the list. The Associated Press managed to get an early copy of Palin’s book, and reported last week she and her ghost writer Lynn Vincent detail episodes of last year’s run for vice president. The A-P says Palin claims the McCain campaign stuck her with hefty legal bills from her vetting process, and muzzled her from the press and public. Palin is responding to book leaks on her Facebook page – in between posts blasting President Obama’s administration and health care legislation.
