The Boys & Girls Club will be open today from 12:30 to 3 p.m.
and will be closed on Thanksgiving and the day after. It will
reopen next week on Monday, November 26th.

Dear Sand Point Students, Parents, and Community,

Have a very happy and restful Thanksgiving holiday. I hope
many families take the opportunity to reflect on the many
things they are grateful for. Thanksgiving, after all, is a word
of action. Enjoy your family time together as your school
family readies for the next four weeks of our second quarter.
Second Quarter midterm reports were just sent out this
week. Please look for these and have a conversation with your
child about all of the information included in this report.
Parents you are an important part of our team in helping our
students achieve. Please reach out to your child’s teacher
with notes, calls, and emails whenever we can be of
assistance. (Additional contact information for each of our
Sand Point School teachers can be found on the AEBSD.org
website.)

December is upon us. It brings with it the official start of the
basketball season, the Geography Bee, the end of second
quarter, our holiday program, the community bazaars, and
Christmas vacation. Please look for more details in the Friday
flyer each week in December.
Finally, staff and students will not have school November 22-
23 for the Thanksgiving break. I look forward to everyone’s
return on Monday, November 26, 2012. Most evening school
based activities will be closed Thursday and Friday also.
Thank you Sand Point for your support of our school
community. Thank you especially for your support and
involvement in your child’s classroom and overall academic
experience.
Sincerely,
Ingrid Cumberlidge, Acting Principal
