What is a Leader? Essay Contest

The Alaska Association of School Boards is looking for students in grades 9-12 to attend the Youth Leadership Institute at their annual conference. Students will meet peers from around the State of Alaska who have a similar passion for being a leader and being an instrument of change in their school, community, and world. The AEBSD is sponsoring an essay contest to determine the selectees from our district. Theme for this year’s conference is: Local Education, Global Citizen. Two winners will attend the AASB conference which will take place in Anchorage from October 31st to November 4th. Essay’s must be a minimum of 350 words to a maximum of 1,250 words in a minimum of five paragraphs. Deadline for submission is September 26th, 2012 @ 5pm.
