Senator McGuire will be named president of the Pacific Northwest Economic Region (PNWER) later this month.  The organization will create a Northern Pipeline Coordinating Council to research and help resolve cross-border route, regulatory, workforce and supply issues that could slow construction of the Alaska North Slope natural gas pipeline.
