STRP is part of a relief strategy to support fishermen and other producers while the administration continues to work on free, fair and reciprocal trade deals to open more markets to help American farmers compete globally. The STRP prohibits a person or legal entity from receiving more than $250,000 from the program. In addition, an applicant’s average adjusted gross income (AGI) cannot exceed $900,000 unless at least 75 percent of the AGI of the person or entity comes from farming, ranching, forestry, seafood harvesting, or related activities.

The Aleutians East Borough Assembly met for a regular meeting on September 10th, 2020 in order to go through usual business as well as important telecom related items.
KSDP’s Austin Roof discussed the importance of the 2020 Census for majority native and rural communities in Alaska with Nicole Borromeo, the Executive Vice President and General Counsel for the Alaska Federation of Natives.
Completing the Census is quick, easy, and completely confidential. Please respond online at www.2020census.gov or by phone by calling 1-(844)-330-2020.
Failing to fill out the Census deprives your community of $3,500 per year. For a family of four this equates to almost $150,000 over 10 years.
